Non Diet Approach

‘The diet starts on Monday’!!

I have heard this a countless number of times… ‘Hey don’t get me wrong, this can be the very beginning of someone making changes to their well-being, and I am ‘totally’ for this!

Is this a lifetime diet? Or a 30-day diet challenge? What happens after it? Do you go back to your normal eating habits and gain back the weight you have lost?

What I am trying to get at here is if the diet you have decided to follow forbids you from your favorite meals and snacks, can have an impact on you both physically and mentally as it may have you going on a mega binge session causing you to regain that weight that you have lost.

This can result in an unhealthy relationship to food and that is NOT what we want to happen.

I believe in following a well-balanced nutrient filled eating plan that does not restrict you of your favorite foods.

Here are some crucial points to keep in mind:

-Having protein and fiber included in your meals and snacks can help you feel fuller for longer.

-Having a meal or snack roughly every 4 hours helps your body to refuel and keep your cravings under control

-Eat breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day– Enjoy your favorite meals and snacks while keeping a well balanced sustainable eating plan in place for life
